This course provides information related to demand creation in the context of low- and middle-income countries (LMIC), specifically, related HIV prevention services: • Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) • HIV Testing Services • Medical Male Circumcision (MMC) • HIV Care and Treatment Services By the end of this course, students will be prepared to work as part of a team to plan interventions to reduce the impact of HIV within a population. Like all Ecorbit Academy courses, it is competency-based; competencies were developed in collaboration with global health and public health subject matter experts and take into consideration the mapping of key competencies required by the public health wider workforce to contribute to public health priority by the South African National Department of Health. The course uses learning resources from accredited, world-class organizations such as the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, and the World Health Organization. There are four (4) modules to complete, which include: Module 1: Global, regional, and country statistics Module 2: Introduction to Demand Creation Module 3: Demand Creation Frameworks Module 4: Evidence-Based Interventions The completion time for this course is estimated to be 16 hours which includes 8 hours of didactics and curated resources and 8 hours of work participating in activities and quizzes to assist the student in the synthesis of the materials.

To cancel modules, send an email: info@ecorbit.org. You will, however, forfeit the applicable portion of the fees paid (related to the date of cancellation). Please look at the “exclusion from studies” paragraph in the Student Rules before cancelling modules. Should you wish to cancel your registration within 10 calendar days of your registration being activated, you may apply for a full refund in line with Unisa's cooling-off period. To apply for a possible refund complete the relevant refund form and submit to finan@ecorbitacademy.com after the cancellation has been processed.
